J+N. MALIBU BRIDALS

I met Josie via Instagram when she reached out about bridals and her wedding in sunny + warm Malibu. Well, supposed to be sunny + warm Malibu. We intended to have the bridal shoot in the afternoon, but storms were brewing over the weekend - - so the night before we called an audible to meet for sunrise instead of sunset. And man, am I SO glad we did! I registered for a permit with the state to shoot at this small cove in Malibu (after almost getting arrested the last time I shot bridals at a southern california beach... ;) reach out and I'll give you the whole scoop on how to apply for a permit! Trust me, it's a lot more romantic to do the work beforehand than to get kicked off a beach with your couple. Personal experience haha!). I had never been to this little cove before the day of the bridals, and I was up at 4AM beating LA traffic to arrive early to scope everything out. All light-fanatics like myself, can we just talk about how perfect these rays of light were that came spilling into this cove? We were at just the right angle for it, the perfect time just peeking over the rock formations... okay, I'm going to get off my nerd train for now. BUT - needless to say, this day was perfect. Josie's sweet mom pulled sand out of her dress for hours afterwards (s/o to all the sacrificial moms out there!), but I think she would even agree it was worth it! These sweethearts had an incredible wedding, and I was so thankful to share it with them! xoxo
